On 3 November 2020, the Hungarian Government announced again a danger situation in view of the coronavirus epidemic, which was extended by the Parliament by 90 days on 10 November, so the emergency will last until 8 February 2021. The Government has extended and supplemented the Decree of 485/2020 (XI.10), issued in order to mitigate the impact of the epidemic on Hungarian economy, by publishing the decree of 571/2020(XII.9).The SME INFO 2020-17 contained the rules laid down by the first government decree for the period originally running from 11 November to 11 December 2020. The present brochure, SME INFO Nr.2020-19 summarises the provisions in force from 10 December 2020, as defined by the two government regulations, and thus the SME INFO No.17 is no longer valid.

The two government decrees set out measures in the following areas:

  • tax benefit for specific sectors of the economy,
  • accommodation-related subsidies,
  • wage support.

The main elements of these measures are reviewed in Hungarian in the downloadable pdf of SME INFO 2020-19.
