Do you remember your first day at PS?
Yeah, I still remember how stressed I was on my first day – it was a first “serious” job for me, so the stress was definitely there. I was nervous, worrying about how I will do, whether others would like me and whether my supervisors would be satisfied with my work.
I also remember being formally introduced to the employees at the open space. Back then there were far fewer employees than now, and it used to be customary to greet everyone separately and introduce yourself, which also made me quite tense.
However, in retrospect, I totally see that all the nerves were completely unnecessary. All the members of the group welcomed me with open arms, and I felt better straight away.
You’ve been working at PS for over 4 years now. During this time, you’ve managed to progress from the staff assistant post to semi-senior accountant. How have your responsibilities changed along the way?
When I worked as a staff assistant, I definitely had more “manual” tasks, e.g., scanning and copying documents and filing them, entering all documents into accounting systems, or preparing VAT registers. As time went by and I was promoted to higher posts, I was gradually introduced to the Clients’ companies, their business models and got to experience direct contact with the Clients’ representatives.
